A little about us: We are a volunteer community orchesstra based in Beachwood, OH. Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings 7:30-10pm at Beachwood HS. Concerts: Mainly Sunday afternooons (5-6 per year)
CURRENT OPENINGS: Violin | Cello | Bass | Trombone
Audition Day: August 16, 2026 | 3-6pm (alternate times available)
Other instruments may submit video to be placed on sub list or be contacted when there are openings
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Two contrasting short selections of your choice (solo or orchestral)
Trombones: also prepare two orchestral excerpts (see form)
What would our members tell someone interested in joining SSO?
It's the best non-professional orchestra in town. The people are nice. And the conductor is talented and entertaining/funny
